Alan started his broadcast career with Blair Television in 1974 as Research Analyst for the ABC division. In 1975 he was appointed Research Supervisor in Blair’s Marketing Division and a year later promoted to Research Manager. In 1979 he was named Associate Research Director and in 1981 was promoted to Research Director. He was named a Vice President of Research in 1986. Alan was appointed Vice President, Director of Research in January 1994. Alan graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Communication Arts and earned his M.S. in Television and Radio from Syracuse University. He is a member of IRTS and the Radio and TV Research Council.
